Returning cabaret kicks off this season in new venue

September 5, 2013 by

The eighth season of the Arctic Sirens Cabaret is being performed in a brand new venue this month, and features a relaxed atmosphere and live music for all the family to enjoy. This year’s event has an impressive line-up of entertainment, and poster printing is likely to be among the methods used to advertise the talented showcase to people in this community and the surrounding regions.

This year, the new venue brings with it some notable talent in order to raise funds benefiting the Children’s Meal Mission, which is dedicated to providing children with nutritious and hot meals at no charge throughout Anchorage’s Spenard and Mountain View neighborhoods.

Acts showing off their skills on the day include the Kevin Barnett Trio, Marianne, Ellen Lockyer, Terri McCoy, Hilary Morgan, and Jennifer Brown. The event is sponsored by several organizations and businesses, including the Federal Nutrition Program, and offers both free parking and large motor coach accommodations. It is presented in partnership with its hosting venue, the Tap Root Pub.

Tickets for the event cost $20 per person, with reservations in advance needed in order to be sure of a space, as it looks to settle in its new venue. The Arctic Sirens Cabaret will be performed on Friday, September 13, starting at 7:00 pm at the Tap Root Pub located at 3300 Spenard Road in Anchorage, Alaska.
