On Friday, August 10th, the Start-Up Essentials workshop will take place at the National University – Kearny Mesa, located at 3580 Aero Court in San Diego, California. This session will run from 9am to 4pm.
This is an introductory course for people planning to start their own business or looking to buy into various franchise opportunities. This workshop aims to provide a comprehensive but accessible overview about what is involved, and how to get on the right path for running a success business.
During this workshop, participants will hear from a number of successful entrepreneurs and business executives, and learn about the company owner’s key role through a self-assessment learning session. The importance of having a well-written and well thought out business plan will also be covered, as well as the types of legal structures and ownership there are in forming a business.
This session will also cover how to create financial controls that are sound and empowering, and where and how to obtain financing for a business venture. Marketing and promotion techniques and strategies will be outlined by some of the best in the industry.
Instructors for this session include Kaitland Hammock, the CDC Small Business Finance Loan Assistant, and John Horman, a Score Counselor with marketing, sales, accounting, law, and finance experience, and many other highly qualified experts in an assortment of fields.
