Nebraska workshop on offer in mid-July

On Wednesday, July 11 and Thursday, July 12, Omaha Score will be offering a “Pre-Business Workshop” at the Small Business Administration Office located at 10675 Bedford Avenue, Suite 100, in Omaha, Nebraska. This workshop will take place from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm on both days.

The two-night course is offered the first and Wednesday and Thursday of each month. Local CPA Rand Hensen will present information on Federal Tax to the group and an IRS Stakeholder will provide publications, as well as a PowerPoint presentation. The Federal Tax portion of this learning session will be presented on the Thursday evening. The objective of this workshop is to provide people interested in starting their own business, or to help people who wish to take advantage of franchise opportunities, with business knowledge and focus materials in a confidential manner, as well as insight and understanding to assist them in starting their small businesses and dealing with all levels of government and taxes.

Counselors from SCORE will provide the individuals with industry-specific business assistance and information, so if your business is a printing company, for example, the counselors will aim all material to that business. The counselors will also assist with a business plan, long-term stability planning, and how to stimulate growth in the small business environment, always remaining industry-specific.

Admission to this event is free and everyone is welcome, although pre-registration is required as space is limited. For more information about this workshop, or to pre-register, please visit the Omaha SCORE website or call SCORE at 402-221-3606.
