Just over a week from now, on Wednesday, August 15, the Advice from Experts Workshop will take place at the Score Denver Office located at 721 19th Street in Denver, Colorado. This event will begin at 8:15 am and end at 3:45 pm.
This workshop has been designed to provide business owners with decision-making material and sources that will power them with enough information to make informed and accurate decision about insurance, basic taxes, financing, lenders, risk management, and business structure. An attorney will be providing the guidance for this section of the workshop.
An accountant will be providing participants with information on keeping documents and bookkeeping services. During this portion, various taxes will be discussed in detail, as well as products, pricing, sales, payroll taxes, and property taxes. For issues dealing with employees, an IRS representative will be present to discuss classification of workers, reporting requirements, importance of reliable and accurate records, estimating, and withholding taxes. Financial and banking representative will give information on the role a bank plays with small business, business plan importance, and how to shop for a lender. An insurance agent will cover the importance of business insurance, management of risk, and will provide details on the various minimal coverages and programs.
